What is a legionella risk assessment?

Legionnaires disease is a serious lung disease which causes chills, high temperatures and muscle pains. You get the infection by breathing in small droplets of water which contains legionella bacteria from contaminated systems which, in a limited number of cases, could even cause death.


How long does the risk assessment take?

Typically, a legionella risk assessment can take up to 1 hour depending on the hot water system in the property. i.e combo boiler, hot water cylinder.


Who can carry out a legionella risk assessment?

A fully qualified and accredited legionella risk assessor is able to carry out any domestic legionella risk assessment.
