ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES

Commercial Energy Performance Certificates are now necessary by law.

If you are renting or selling your commercial property you will need one. The majority of commercial buildings have never had energy efficiency work undertaken. Our certificates come with a recommendation report to show what measures could be taken to reduce the impact on the environment.

There are many low cost money-saving tactics commercial property owners can undertake to reduce their properties' carbon footprint and, most importantly, reduce your bills.

All residential and commercial properties (see product page for commercial exempt properties) for sale or to let require an Energy Performance Certificate; they last up to 10 years, or until the fabric of the building or its size is altered in any way, in which case a new one would be required.

WHY DO I NEED A DEC?

You may find that it is very difficult to find an assessor to undertake your Display Energy Certificate.

Every public building over 250 sq metres requires a Display Energy Certificate which needs to be displayed clearly in a prominent place. If this is not done, you can be fined up to £500. With increasing budgetary pressure on councils, they have an incentive to inspect and to fine. We can assist your every need with regards to this process.
